Card Purchase Controls
Plavan Fleet offers front-end purchase controls to enable authorized fueling without sacrificing control. Our fleet cards allow you to control fleet expenses by reducing unauthorized fuel purchases. Cards can be set up with individual driver and vehicle controls, allowing you to customize each card for every user in your company and to gain tighter control over every fuel purchase. In addition to controls for fleet cards, Plavan Fleet can provide industry-best purchase controls for your on-site fueling as well.
In order to minimize fuel slippage (errors, theft, loss, etc.), management has the option to set strict purchase controls including:
• Fuel Type
• Gallons Per Transaction
• Transactions Per Day
• Time of Day
• Days of Week
• Odometer Entry
• Email Alerts
Specific controls may vary by fleet card product. Drivers will also be prompted to input odometer readings at the pump before fueling. Vehicle fuel efficiency will be captured and reported as miles per gallon (MPG) and cost per mile (CPM). A deviation from a reasonable MPG can be used to identify potential theft or a maintenance problem with the vehicle. Miles driven, MPG and CPM will be reported on invoices and are available to view through your online customer account.
